Job summary

Patrick Industries, along with Sportech in Elk River, MN, seeks a Senior Buyer to procure materials, manage supplier relations, and support production operations. You will negotiate terms, monitor inventory, and drive continuous improvement to align with business goals.

The role requires ERP/MRP experience (Epicor preferred), Lean/Six Sigma familiarity, and strong communication abilities. Travel may be required due to supplier visits and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Business, Operations Mgmt., Supply Chain Mgmt. strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a purchasing, materials management, or supply chain role.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and demand-base planning is essential; Epicor is a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is highly desired.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials & equipment in support of production and internal operations.
• Negotiate price, terms, and conditions; obtain quotes, place and expedite orders, resolve discrepancies.
• Manage material flow and inventory levels to ensure smooth production.
• Communicate specifications and design changes to suppliers.
• Maintain and update costs for accurate reporting.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
