Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company seeks a Senior Buyer in Phoenix to coordinate procurement of key commodities, negotiate with vendors, and ensure timely order fill with optimal inventory. You will monitor pricing, support logistics, and align with company goals on market conditions and forward buys.

The role requires detailed execution, multitasking, and strong communications with internal and external customers across divisions to achieve service level targets and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email).
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Experience in Software- DAX and Adage is preferred.
• Must have and be able to communicate commodities background related to category and position.

Responsibilities

• Meet established goals for Order Fill and reduce daily lost sales within the branches.
• Meet inventory level requirements by maintaining target stock levels.
• Coordinate SKU counts and manage aged and slow-moving inventory.
• Manage cost of goods through vendor management, forward buys, and freight costs.
• Maintain orderly records and correspondence; prepare outgoing mail and emails.
