Job summary

Villanova University is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement for a wide range of commodities and services. You will analyze spending data, develop sourcing strategies, and negotiate value-driven contracts to maximize cost efficiency and service quality across the university.

The role requires advanced procurement knowledge, strong vendor management, and the ability to work cross-functionally with deans, directors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of procurement experience, preferably in education or not-for-profit sectors.
• Ability to interpret and apply university purchasing policies and procedures.
• Experience with highly technical and/or complex solicitation documents.

Responsibilities

• Procure a variety of services and products including capital equipment and services.
• Create RFP documentation, bid specifications, and evaluate bid packages for compliance.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers with cross-functional support and university guidance.
• Analyze spending data to identify sourcing opportunities and establish long-term supplier partnerships.
