County of Santa Cruz is seeking an experienced procurement professional to join the General Services Department and provide dedicated procurement support to the Central Purchasing Team, focusing on solicitations for capital projects and construction.
The role requires public-sector procurement experience, coordinating competitive solicitations for construction projects, architectural/engineering services, and related services.
Formación
- Two years of experience performing duties comparable to a Buyer at Santa Cruz County.
- Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License.
- Knowledge of centralized purchasing, ethics, contract negotiations, and bidding.
- Ability to analyze requisitions, prepare specifications, bids and agreements; evaluate bids; awards.
Responsabilidades
- Provide procurement support to Central Purchasing for capital projects and construction.
- Develop scopes, run walkthroughs, and facilitate solicitations (informal quotes, RFPs, IFB, RFQ).
- Coordinate with internal/external SMEs and County leadership to move procurements from scoping to contract award.
- Provide vendor outreach and support and ensure equitable public procurement.
