Job summary

Veeco’s Senior Buyer (Planner) will translate production demand into timely procurement actions for PSP tools. You will identify global substitutes, coordinate engineering changes, and ensure material readiness for critical tool builds in advanced packaging and semiconductor manufacturing.

Partnering with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing and suppliers across regions, you will balance lead times, quality and cost to maintain continuous production in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and BOMs.
• Coordinating procurement or planning with design changes.
• Experience in supplier collaboration across regions and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own material readiness translating demand into procurement actions.
• Evaluate form, fit and function alternatives for constrained parts.
• Drive ECR/ECO coordination from review to material disposition.
• Interpret drawings to make sourcing and substitution decisions.
• Create parts-availability reports for planners and leaders.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing and suppliers.
