Job summary

Moog is seeking a Sr. Buyer/Planner to support its Mountain View operation, owning material planning and procurement for high‑mix, low‑volume aerospace programs.

You’ll convert approved demand into purchase orders, manage supplier commitments, and provide accurate material status to Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program teams to meet cost, quality, and schedule goals. The role requires hands‑on ERP/MRP usage, supplier negotiations, and strong communication with on‑floor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience using ERP/MRP to manage demand, POs, inventory, planning parameters, shortages, and/or work orders.
• Strong procurement fundamentals: RFQs, bid evaluation, PO administration, supplier performance management.
• Ability to read BOMs, drawings/specifications, revisions, and quality requirements with attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze and communicate data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical material and production plans from program demand and BOMs.
• Maintain ERP/MRP planning parameters, lead times, order policies, lot sizes, minimums/multiples, and dates.
• Convert demand into purchase requisitions, POs, work orders, and kit requests.
• Provide material-status, shortage, LOB, and clear-to-build reporting to stakeholders.
• Expedite, de-expedite, reschedule, or cancel supply to protect program schedules and reduce excess inventory.
