HEPCO Inc in Radford, VA is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead spare parts sourcing for its Radford facilities. You will manage supplier selection, RFQ processes, negotiations, and supplier performance to drive cost savings and align with long-term supply chain goals.

The role collaborates with engineering and program teams to optimize cost, quality, and delivery while maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Experience purchasing multiple commodities.
• Reading and interpreting engineering requirements, blueprints, schematics, drawings.
• RFQ/RFP development, contracts, financial analysis, negotiations, PO documentation.
• Experience with data analytics and reporting within an ERP system.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Identify, qualify, and onboard global suppliers.
• Manage RFQ process, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and make sourcing decisions.
• Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies and supplier agreements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on quality improvements, cost reductions, and design changes.
• Monitor global market trends and mitigate supply shortages and pricing changes.
• Build supplier relationships and manage supplier performance.
• Partner with program teams and buyers to develop approved sources.
• Analyze forecast data to identify innovative technologies and processes that improve margins and service delivery.
• Apply continuous improvement methods to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain procurement compliance documentation and close completed purchase orders.
• Follow applicable safety policies and procedures.
