Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Senior Buyer for the Military Flight Controls Division in Dublin, GA. The role focuses on procurement excellence, supplier selection, and contract execution to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.

You will lead bid processes, negotiate pricing, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement within the procurement function. A background in business administration and CPM/APICS is preferred, with experience in ERP/EDI environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
• Two or more years of purchasing experience typically required.
• CPM or APICS certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and recommends suppliers by researching parts, equipment, and services and initiates bids or proposals.
• Conducts supplier visits and evaluates production capability, delivery, and performance.
• Purchases parts and services by issuing RFQs and purchase orders with negotiated terms.
• Evaluates bids and negotiates price, delivery, and quality with suppliers; develops alternate sources.
• Monitors supplier performance and mediates issues to prevent production delays.
• Negotiate and settle claims, returns, and changes with suppliers.
• Prepare moderately complex reports and provide material information to stakeholders.
• Apply continuous improvement techniques to internal purchasing processes.
• Stay updated on regulations and company policies; share knowledge with team.
