Job summary

VIVA Manufacturing, a Tampa-based producer of nutraceutical and wellness products, is seeking a Senior Buyer for on-site leadership of procurement strategy.

You will source raw materials, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize the supply chain to ensure on-time product delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of buyer experience in manufacturing or related industries.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and purchasing expertise.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and demand forecasting.
• Proficient in ERP systems, data analysis tools, and Excel.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance in manufacturing is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic partnerships with suppliers negotiating prices, quality, transportation, payment terms, and conditions.
• Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine best value to the Company with cost, service, quality, reliability, and relationship at the core.
• Places purchase orders with suppliers and monitors adherence to delivery schedules; reschedule orders based on forecast and requirement changes.
• Maintains communications externally with vendors and internally with manufacturing, sales, and logistics to predict and optimize the supply chain.
• Leads the negotiation process of supplier agreements and ensures contractual obligations are met.
• Pursues new vendor relationships, when necessary, and seeks to achieve the most profitable service from vendors.
• Manages inventory levels; adjusts orders as necessary to reduce excess inventory.
• Seeks opportunities to maximize procurement and purchasing efficiencies so as to support and increase the Company’s revenue and profitability.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Buyer located in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. The Senior Buyer will manage and execute the procurement strategy, including sourcing raw materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring supply chain optimization. Responsibilities include preparing purchase orders, maintaining inventory levels, analyzing market trends, and evaluating supplier performance. Collaboration with internal teams, budget management, and ensuring on-time product delivery are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong procurement skills, including negotiation, vendor relationship management, and purchasing processes

• Experience in analyzing market trends and cost management
