Job summary

Curtiss Wright Round Rock is seeking a Sr. Buyer to execute complex procurement activities for high-value materials, components and services.

You will negotiate terms, issue and manage purchase orders and change orders, and drive supplier performance to meet cost, quality and delivery goals. You will collaborate with manufacturing, planning and engineering to align with program schedules, drive cost reductions and continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• 2 to 6 years' of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiations and supplier management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Demonstrated negotiation experience with measurable cost savings or value creation.
• Experience supporting complex programs or engineered products.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Executes end-to-end procurement activities for complex, high-value materials, components and services.
• Negotiates and administers complex purchase orders and agreements; issues and administers POs, change orders and RFQs while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Drives supplier selection; conducts site visits, rates production capability, performance and delivery.
• Manages supplier relationships including performance monitoring (cost, quality, delivery) and corrective actions.
• Resolves invoice discrepancies and maintains procurement records.
• Collaborates with manufacturing, planning and engineering to align with program schedules and drive cost reduction.

As the Sr. Buyer, you will be responsible for executing complex or technical procurement activities, including high-value purchases. You will negotiate pricing and contract terms, drive sourcing efforts and supplier performance to meet cost, quality and delivery objectives.

Salary Information

$76,100 to $92,000 annually Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Your Challenge

• Executes end-to-end procurement activities for complex, high-value materials, components and services. Negotiates and administers complex purchase orders and agreements. Issues and administers purchase orders, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials or services.
• Drives supplier selection. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery. Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring (cost, quality, delivery) and corrective action implementation. Proactively addresses issues and escalates as needed.
• Resolves complex invoice discrepancies, receiving issues and supplier disputes. Maintains accurate and complete procurement records.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders including manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to ensure alignment with program schedules and requirements. Drives cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

What You Bring
