Job summary

Experis is seeking a Senior Buyer in Pleasanton, CA to manage procurement for direct materials and indirect goods in a regulated medical device environment. You will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate terms, and ensure supplier performance aligns with production schedules and quality goals.

The role emphasizes onsite work, cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance, and driving risk mitigation for critical components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience within a medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing direct materials and contract manufacturers, including supplier coordination and performance accountability.
• Strong understanding of FDA-regulated manufacturing environments and supplier quality requirements, including the ability to partner effectively with Quality and Regulatory teams.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or JD Edwards, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
