Catalent is seeking a Senior Buyer for our Manassas, VA site to lead indirect spend management, supplier quality, and cost-saving initiatives. You will partner across functions to drive improvements, support new product launches, and strengthen supplier relationships.

This is a 100% onsite role with global procurement exposure. The ideal candidate has at least five years in procurement or material planning, a business degree, and hands-on experience with GMP environments and ERP/MRP systems

• Participate in or lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce cost and improve quality for internal and external customers.
• Develop key supplier relationships to serve the local site’s needs.

About Site

The :70,000‑square‑foot Manassas facility operates within Catalent’s Consumer Health portfolio, supporting programs from early development through commercial manufacturing and packaging. It is designed for dietary supplement and food‑safety cGMP operations, making it distinct from Catalent’s traditional pharmaceutical and biologics manufacturing sites.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join our team and play a key role in supporting procurement initiatives at the site and global levels. This position focuses on cost savings, supplier quality, and risk mitigation while managing indirect spend and supporting new product launches. The Senior Buyer will collaborate across functions to drive continuous improvement and build strong supplier relationships that meet the needs of the Manassas site. Location: Manassas, VA. 100% Onsite.

The Role

• 10% global travel expectations.

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a similar area.
• Minimum five years of material planning or directly related Procurement/Supply Chain experience.

Preferred Skills & Background

• Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, including JDE and Sag.
• Experience in developing and implementing processes, procedures, and systems.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience.
