Senior Buyer to join our dynamic merchandising team and drive product success from concept to customer.
Position Summary
The Senior Buyer will lead the product lifecycle for designated categories, ensuring the right products are sourced and delivered at the right time, price, and quantity. This role requires a strong blend of analytics, trend awareness, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll manage vendor relationships, conduct sales performance analysis, and partner with planning, marketing, and fulfillment teams to ensure merchandise strategies align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal buying strategies aligned with company goals and customer demand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and factories; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines.
- Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and market trends using Excel and Inventory Planner to drive data-informed decisions.
- Manage and forecast inventory levels to meet sales targets and optimize stock turns.
- Collaborate with merchandising, planning, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive product storytelling.
- Create and maintain efficient workflows.
- Use Asana to track project timelines and ensure timely product launches and deliveries.
- Maintain up-to-date product details and inventory status within Shopify.
- Partner with planning and logistics teams to manage PO creation, shipments, and inventory flow.
- Lead & Mentor Buying Team
Requirements
- 5+ years of Ecommerce buying or merchandising experience in women's apparel or a related category.
- Experience with the full product development workflow.
- Proven track record of owning product strategy, vendor negotiations, and inventory planning.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
- Experience with Inventory Planner, Shopify, and Asana preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership.
- Passion for fashion and understanding of trends and consumer behavior.
- ***This Role is Required to work in person at our LEHI, UT office***
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Fashion, Marketing or related field.
- Experience in a high-growth, ecommerce-driven retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
