Motion Recruitment seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and technology teams in the insurance domain. You will translate underwriting, policy administration, risk and compliance needs into actionable technology solutions and lead discovery sessions to align priorities across squads.

This role combines business analysis with hands-on collaboration in an Agile environment, owning requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing while shaping products

Qualificações

• 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Experience in the insurance industry and with policy administration.
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to write and analyze SQL queries and support UAT.
• Experience translating business objectives into functional specs for Agile teams.

A leading organization in the insurance and risk management industry is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a full-time opportunity. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping deliver solutions that support critical insurance operations and customer-facing platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in business analysis along with prior experience working within an insurance environment, where they have developed an understanding of policy administration, underwriting processes, compliance requirements, and complex business workflows

This opportunity is ideal for a Business Systems Analyst who wants to leverage both their technical and insurance industry expertise to influence business strategy and technology delivery. The organization is seeking someone who understands how insurance operations function and can effectively translate the needs of underwriting and business teams into actionable technology solutions. You'll play a highly visible role leading discovery sessions, driving stakeholder alignment, and helping shape products that directly impact core business functions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
• Prior experience working within the insuranceindustry
• Strong understanding of insurance business processes and operational workflows
• Experience gathering, documenting, and refining business and system requirements
• Expertise translating business objectives into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Experience supporting Agile software delivery teams
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Experience with testing, requirements validation, and UAT activities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to write and analyze SQL queries
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting underwriting, policy administration, risk assessment, or related insurance functions
• Familiarity with end-to-end policy lifecycle processes
• Experience creating process maps, wireframes, and workflow documentation
• Exposure to customer-facing applications and digital platforms

• Experience with automated testing and quality assurance practices
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments
