Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field OR 5+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience supporting enterprise applications and technology initiatives.
• Knowledge of SDLC, application architecture, and system integrations.
• Experience with APIs, web services, microservices, and enterprise applications.
• SQL experience with the ability to analyze and validate data.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for complex initiatives.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Analyze application functionality, integrations, APIs, data flows, and system dependencies.
• Identify process improvements and recommend technology solutions.
• Support Agile teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release activities.
• Track deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
• Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and reporting tools.
• Document data mappings, interface requirements, and integration specifications.
• Partner with development and cybersecurity teams to address security vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
• Assist with test planning, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
• Support incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
• Serve as liaison between business units, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices.

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a contract to hire opportunity with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. Will work onsite 4 days per week.

Compensation: $47.00 - $57.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, leading complex initiatives that support strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate combines business analysis, technical analysis, Agile delivery, data analysis, and production support to ensure successful implementation and operation of enterprise technology solutions. You will partner with developers, architects, QA teams, cybersecurity teams, and business partners to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field OR 5+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience supporting enterprise applications and technology initiatives
• Knowledge of SDLC, application architecture, and system integrations
• Experience working with APIs, web services, microservices, and enterprise applications
• SQL experience with the ability to analyze and validate data
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Desired Skills:

• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools
• Understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices
• Experience supporting vulnerability management and remediation efforts
• Knowledge of application security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or AppDynamics
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in financial services or other highly regulated industries
