Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to partner across enterprise learning platforms, integrations, and data. You translate business needs into scalable technology and governance-aligned solutions, delivering accurate, compliant results.

You will lead backlog refinement, plan releases, and work with senior leaders on complex process improvements, data integrity reviews, and cross-functional testing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with Workday Learning and HRIS processes preferred.
• Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent learning stakeholders' business and operational needs in discovery, backlog refinement, and solution design.
• Use data, feedback, and analyses to identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.

The role provides advanced analysis and expertise to resolve complex issues, improve learning administration and data integrity, and deliver accurate, compliant, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise governance.# Key Responsibilities* Represent learning stakeholders' business and operational needs in product discovery, backlog refinement, release planning, and solution-design discussions.* Use operational data, user feedback, and process analysis to identify opportunities that reduce manual effort, improve controls, and increase the reliability and scalability of learning management activities.* Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects, process improvements, automation initiatives, and technology implementations.* Develop or support recurring data-integrity reviews, reconciliations, reports, and control processes.* Document defects, assess business impact, support prioritization, and verify that issues are resolved before implementation.* Support the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance and monitoring of integrations affecting learning platforms and processes.* Serve as an escalation resource for complex learning platform, integration, assignment, access, data, and user-support issues.* Analyze learning data, worker data, security access, configuration, and related system information to identify trends, exceptions, and quality concerns.* Analyze support trends and user feedback to identify opportunities for system enhancements, process simplification, automation, and self-service.* Leads improvement recommendations and presents effectively to senior and executive management and global teams.* Presents and leads client meetings with the business and development teams. Communicates with senior leaders for understanding and execution of cross-functional complex processes and applications to solve for client requirements.* Provides recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.* Partners with business teams to develop ways to investigate business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.* Leads and serves as a senior resource on cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.* Serves as a resource to colleagues, mentors, and helps improve the team's abilities around all IT Service Management (ITSM) disciplines deployed.* Leads the development, execution, and creation of the cross-functional testing strategy, communicating with all stakeholders for technology delivery.* Leads the planning, conducting, and documenting of user stories, and user feedback.
