Job summary

The BSA will partner with product owners, SMEs, and technical teams, managing expectations and facilitating consensus to deliver integrated technology solutions for INDOT.

Qualifications

• Experience as a business analyst, consultant, or similar role in technology, government.
• Business analysis and problem solving experience in a consultative or project setting.
• Solid experience cultivating and managing business relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong technical, written, and oral communications skills with multiple audiences (technical, data, business, project management, leadership).
• Business requirements and user story creation and documentation.
• Experience and skill working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining strong, trust‑based relationships with stakeholders across INDOT to ensure alignment.
• Serving as the business relationship manager for specialized functional areas and guiding organizational change.
• Building productive partnerships with IT and data practitioners to enable technology solutions.
• Managing expectations across stakeholders, peers, vendors, leadership and technical teams.
• Leading discovery sessions, workshops, and discussions to understand processes and desired outcomes.
• Translating complex concepts into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
• Leading efforts to improve systems and processes by identifying root causes and breaking down silos.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to plan interoperability across INDOT systems and data.
