Job summary

APR Staffing is seeking a Business Systems Analyst 3 for a contract in the Transmission Technology System Development and Support organization. You will serve as the primary liaison between business units and the development team, translating complex needs into detailed technical specs and user stories for OT system enhancements.

You will lead requirements elicitation, analyze architectural details, and ensure traceability through change and configuration management.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for a high availability environment.
• 3+ years of experience in change and configuration management tools/systems.
• 3+ years of experience in compliance and/or audit support.
• 1 year experience with process development and roll‑out.
• Minimum 3 years of experience performing systems/requirements analysis on enterprise applications utilizing Java/JEE and/or .NET.
• Experience mapping data structures (XML, JSON) and testing application endpoints (APIs) using Postman within Java/.NET environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements for OT systems.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
• Develop and review specifications ensuring all essential requirements are documented.
• Review top-level design for applications and information systems including test plans.
• Verify software specifications and interface requirements are correct and scoped properly.
• Ensure configuration management policies provide full traceability through version releases.
• Code, test, install, and document detailed programs per applicable standards.
• Prepare training and presentations for internal and client use.
• Support management decisions with analyzed recommendations and resource planning.
• Develop training materials and procedures to support NERC CIP and NIST/FISMA security requirements.
