Job summary

MedImpact is seeking a Business Systems Analyst V to bridge end-users and the MedImpact Business and Technology teams. You will review, analyze, and evaluate the most complex business systems and user needs, and translate them into functional specifications.

You will lead design sessions, document requirements, drive projects, and perform user acceptance testing. This on-site role in San Diego offers the chance to optimize healthcare software solutions and mentor junior analysts.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 8+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 4 years of SME in respective areas.
• Proficient with Visio, TOAD, SSMS, SQL, Oracle; knowledge of SQL/OLTP and data query tools.
• Experience with SDLC and BABOK; HIPAA compliance knowledge desirable.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview end-users to define business requirements for complex software modifications.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications and design solutions.
• Lead design sessions with business and technical resources to ensure alignment.
• Develop and document requirements, rules, flow charts, and reports.
• Perform user acceptance testing and coordinate with IT and QA teams.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide client consultation as needed.
