Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a Westinghouse subsidiary, seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the Commodities Product Team. You will translate business needs into technology solutions, ensure SOX compliance, and assist agile product delivery in a 1-year hybrid role.

Key duties include leading requirements workshops, documenting business processes and use cases, conducting current/future state analyses, and supporting system enhancements across enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or related role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Economics or Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, business process documentation, workshop facilitation, test planning and UAT support.
• Experience in IT Product Model and Agile delivery.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance in IT.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level applications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead requirements workshops for large, complex projects.
• Analyze, document, and evaluate business processes, systems, challenges, and needs.
• Perform current-state and future-state analyses and gap analyses.
• Define and document business requirements, use cases, and process flows.
• Create and maintain BRDs, test cases, and related docs.

• Serve as liaison between business and IT, including vendors.
• Provide project status updates and communicate solutions to leadership.
• Support implementation and ongoing maintenance of systems.

About the role:

Our client's IT Energy Operations, Strategy, and Construction team is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the Commodities Product Team. You will work with business partners, IT teams, and external service providers to support existing systems, lead new technology initiatives, and drive process improvements. You will help translate our needs into technology solutions while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and supporting Agile-based product delivery. This is a 1-year hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead requirements gathering workshops for large and complex projects.
• Analyze, document, and evaluate business processes, systems, challenges, and operational needs.
• Conduct current-state (as-is), future-state (to-be), and gap analyses.
• Elicit, define, and document business requirements using structured methodologies.
• Create and maintain business requirements documents, use cases, process flows, test cases, and related project documentation.
• Support design-thinking exercises and collaborative solution development efforts.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
• Provide project status updates and communicate technical and business solutions to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing applications.
• Assist with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and ongoing application support.
• Evaluate current technology capabilities and recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate within Agile product teams and contribute to product delivery activities.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance control execution and evidence gathering activities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business partners regarding technology and process solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Technology Analyst, or related role.
• Bachelor's Degree in:
