Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the Commodities Product Team within IT Energy Operations, Strategy, and Construction. The 1-year hybrid role involves translating business needs into technology solutions while ensuring SOX compliance and supporting Agile delivery.

You will collaborate with business partners, IT teams, and external service providers to improve processes, document requirements, and guide system enhancements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or related role.
• Experience with IT product model and Agile delivery.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance in IT environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level applications and system implementations.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering workshops for large projects.
• Analyze and document business processes, systems, challenges, and needs.
• Conduct current-state and future-state analyses, and gaps.
• Elicit, define, and document business requirements, use cases, and flows.
• Create and maintain BRDs, use cases, and test artifacts.
• Support design-thinking and collaboration with vendors.
• Serve as liaison between business, IT, and vendors.
• Provide status updates to leadership on solutions.
• Assist with implementation and support of new/enhanced systems.
• Evaluate current tech capabilities and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Agile product teams and contribute to delivery.
• Perform SOX compliance control execution and evidence gathering.

About the role:

Our client's IT Energy Operations, Strategy, and Construction team is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the Commodities Product Team. You will work with business partners, IT teams, and external service providers to support existing systems, lead new technology initiatives, and drive process improvements. You will help translate our needs into technology solutions while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and supporting Agile-based product delivery. This is a 1-year hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead requirements gathering workshops for large and complex projects.
• Analyze, document, and evaluate business processes, systems, challenges, and operational needs.
• Conduct current-state (as-is), future-state (to-be), and gap analyses.
• Elicit, define, and document business requirements using structured methodologies.
• Create and maintain business requirements documents, use cases, process flows, test cases, and related project documentation.
• Support design-thinking exercises and collaborative solution development efforts.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
• Provide project status updates and communicate technical and business solutions to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing applications.
• Assist with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and ongoing application support.
• Evaluate current technology capabilities and recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate within Agile product teams and contribute to product delivery activities.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance control execution and evidence gathering activities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business partners regarding technology and process solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Technology Analyst, or related role.
• Bachelor's Degree in:

• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements in an IT environment.
