Job summary

Fluence Energy, LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Business System Analyst to drive planning platforms, including Anaplan and Oracle/SAP ecosystems, bridging business needs with technical solutions.

You will partner with FP&A, IT, and operations to define requirements, build models, and deliver training and documentation. The role blends financial planning, budgeting, scenario planning, and data governance within a fast-growing energy storage leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CIS, Computer Science, Business Analytics or Engineering required with 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with Anaplan - Data Hub integrations required.
• Demonstrated multi-dimensional data analysis and scenario planning capabilities.
• Workforce planning and modeling in Anaplan; financial planning and analysis including revenue, expenses, profitability and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Apply budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, strategic and scenario planning to business planning processes.
• Configure and support enterprise planning platforms (Anaplan, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Planful, SAP IBP, Oracle EPM).
• Maintain the functional roadmap and solution architecture for systems, data management, and integrations.
• Analyze business processes, lead workshops, and capture objectives and requirements.
• Design solutions and specifications based on business needs and requirements.
• Develop test cases, training materials, and adoption content.

Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in Budgeting, Financial Modeling, Variance Analysis, Strategic Planning, Scenario Planning, Performance Reporting, Business Planning, Financial Planning, Resource Planning, Demand Planning, Headcount Planning, etc.
• Configure, integrate, and support enterprise-grade, integrated business, demand, and supply chain planning platforms, such as Anaplan, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Planful, SAP IBP, Oracle EPM, etc.
• Maintain the functional roadmap and solution architecture for systems, integrations, data management and integrity under your responsibility.
• Analyze business processes, scrutinize artifacts, and lead targeted workshops to define business objectives and requirements.
• Design solutions that meet business needs by analyzing requirements, developing business rules and process diagrams, and drafting specifications.
• Develop test cases, training materials, and other essential content for successful solution adoption

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CIS, Computer Science, Business Analytics or Engineering (any field) and 4 years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field.
• Job also requires experience in following: Anaplan - Data Hub integrations
• Multi-dimensional analysis of data
• Scenario Planning analysis
• Workforce Planning – modeling in Anaplan
• Financial Planning and analysis – modeling revenue, expenses, profitability and cash flow
• Design UX for the Connected Planning platform

11740 Katy Freeway, Suite 1400, Houston, Texas 77079 (20% remote work permitted). 10% domestic business travel to California and other domestic work sites.
