Job summary

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Trade, Investment Analysis Office, seeks a Business Process Analyst II to support process improvement, modernization, and transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Relevant professional experience within the 3–10 year range, and team/workstream leadership responsibilities.
• Experience assessing business and operational processes in cross-functional environments.
• Experience collecting, documenting, analyzing, and refining requirements.
• Experience supporting business process improvement, modernization, or reengineering initiatives.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, requirements sessions, interviews, workshops, or similar sessions.
• Experience developing practical implementation plans and process documentation.
• Basic understanding of data analytics and data platforms preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Apps preferred.
• Must be local to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Apply process improvement, modernization, and transformation principles to increase efficiency in financial and operational management.
• Lead or participate in teams conducting business process improvement initiatives.
• Lead analyst teams and workstreams.
• Interface with CBP personnel and senior leadership.
• Assess process performance in complex environments with financial, staffing, and operational relationships.
• Collect and refine business and technical requirements through interviews and workshops.
• Document current-state processes and develop recommendations for improvements.
• Support design and implementation of new processes and enhancements.
• Maintain RAID logs across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate among multiple project teams for enterprise-wide integration.
• Facilitate requirements sessions and stakeholder meetings.
• Establish clear goals, objectives, requirements, and performance metrics.
• Ensure proposals align with policies and regulations.
