Job summary

Lob is seeking a Business Operations Manager to own cross-functional programs spanning Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, Print & Delivery Network, and GTM. You will drive execution from ambiguous problems to documented, measured processes with named owners and clear handoffs.

You will run 3–5 concurrent programs, push for timely completion across teams, and deliver analyses from Lob’s data stack with AI tooling. You’ll also support FP&A and company-wide operating cadences.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years post-undergrad in management consulting/corporate strategy or business operations
• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience with client-facing, multi-stakeholder delivery is preferred
• Background in B2B SaaS, marketplace, logistics, or related operations is preferred

Responsibilities

• Own three to five cross-functional programs with defined end state, status, dependencies, and due date
• Coordinate across teams and deliver executive communication to drive decisions
• Produce analysis using Lob’s data and reporting stack and available AI tooling
• Document programs on completion and transfer to permanent owner with measurable metric
• Provide backup for FP&A, Deal Desk, and Business Operations analytics; support quarterly business reviews and leadership offsites

Business Operations Manager

At Lob, you’ll own the cross-functional programs that make or break how the company actually runs — the initiatives that span Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, our Print & Delivery Network, and Go-to-Market, and that stall when no single person is accountable for finishing them.

You’ll take a program from an ambiguous problem to a documented, measured process with a named owner. You’ll do the analysis, coordinate across teams that don’t report to you, and deliver the executive communication required to get things done.

As the Business Operations Manager, you’ll…

Own Program Execution

Run three to five concurrent cross-functional programs at once, each with a defined end state, a published status, named dependency owners, and a target completion date.

Drive Outcomes Across Teams

Push programs to completion through Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, Partner Operations, Solutions, and Go-to-Market — and **escalate** with judgment when a dependency stalls.

Deliver the Analysis

Produce the analysis behind program decisions using Lob’s data and reporting stack and available AI tooling.

Hand Off What You Build

Document each program on completion and transition it to a permanent owner outside this role, with a metric that survives the handoff.

Cover the Gaps

Provide backup for FP&A, Deal Desk, and Business Operations analytics deliverables, and support planning and execution of company-wide operating cadences like QBRs and leadership offsites.

Program Management Chops

Strong skills scoping ambiguous work, sequencing dependencies, and holding owners to dates across multiple organizations at once — you deliver outcomes through people who don’t report to you.

Familiarity with BI/data warehouse tooling and AI-assisted analysis expected; SQL helpful but not required.

Ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and incomplete information.

Relevant Experience

4-7+ years post-undergrad in management consulting/corporate strategy (client-facing, multi-stakeholder delivery) or business operations, strategic finance, revenue operations, or chief-of-staff work with direct ownership of an operationally complex domain. Bachelor's degree required.

Industry Fit (preferred)

Background in B2B SaaS, marketplace, logistics, or another operationally intensive business.
