Job summary

Clearbrook Holdings Inc. seeks a seasoned professional for its Argo operations to streamline underwriting workflows and improve customer service. You will partner with Product Lines and Actuary, driving efficiency and standardizing processes across divisions.

You will analyze underwriting files, manage vendor relationships, and mentor staff while coordinating with overseas partners when needed. A high-volume environment requires strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of insurance experience with authority.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to balance multiple inquiries in a time-sensitive, high-volume environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist as a liaison for various system platforms.

Argo and Farm Family partner with agents and brokers to provide insurance solutions that enable businesses to manage risks with confidence.

JOB PURPOSE

Argo's Centralized Operations team aids the overall Company by creating efficiencies across business functions that help develop superior customer service; streamline processing various underwriting transactions; and standardize workflows. This position will partner with various Product Lines, and other Business Functions like Product Management and Actuary, from a technical, operational, and customer focused approach to consistently improve and meet market demands.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist and engage as a business representative and liaison for various system platforms.
• Production and maintenance testing.
• Identify workflow/process impacts as a result of system updates.
• Communication of system updates to impacted staff and coordination of training (if needed).
• Identifying system defects and/or gaps, providing resolution-based fixes.
• Prioritize system releases across functions.
• Develop and maintain onboarding standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop, write, and implement requirements.
• Approve authorizations for service requests that are outside of support staff authority.
• Direct the tasking flow and ensure effective efficient work processes are in place.
• Liaison with Division Managers on special issues and projects.
• Training, coaching, and mentoring less experienced staff, including Quality Assurance.
• Manage Product Line & vendor relationships.
• Conduct underwriting file analysis, including identifying forms and endorsements used in policy construction.
• Assist underwriters and support staff in carrying out their essential duties and responsibilities to enhance the overall performance of the division through utilization of systems and guidelines as provided.
• Proactively manage Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing relationships as well as relationships with our overseas partners.
• Suggest, document, implement, and audit workflows that increase efficiency across Argo
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; college course work/degree and insurance designation are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of insurance experience with authority.
• Proficient in the use of computer programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to balance multiple inquiries and competing demands utilizing a positive coaching approach with employees.
• Must be able to function effectively in a time sensitive and high-volume environment.
• Effective leadership skills with a sound influence in dealing with challenging situations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work autonomously in a fast paced, production-oriented environment.
• Analytical ability. Maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external clients.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
• Travel may be requested.
