Job description

Reporting to and supporting the Executive Vice President, Strategic Execution, the Senior Business Operations Manager helps drive the priorities, governance, and cross-functional initiatives of the Strategic Execution function. The role serves as a key execution partner to the EVP, translating strategic priorities into structured processes, coordinating stakeholders, maintaining operational visibility, and driving work to completion.

The role has direct responsibility for designated Business Operations functions while supporting the EVP in broader areas of oversight, review, risk management, and cross-functional execution.

Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Governance
  • Support the EVP in driving strategic and operational priorities, translating objectives into clear plans, ownership, governance, and execution.
  • Establish and continuously improve operational processes, approval workflows, decision frameworks, and internal controls; identify gaps and develop scalable solutions.
  • Partner with functional leaders to clarify ownership and decision rights, assess operational readiness, and maintain visibility into material risks and cross-functional dependencies.
Corporate Entity Management & Business Licensing
  • Own corporate entity administration and business licensing across all company entities and applicable jurisdictions, including centralized records, registered-agent and outside-counsel coordination, formations, qualifications, amendments, dissolutions, annual filings, renewals, and license requirements.
  • Maintain calendars and visibility into entity and license status, deadlines, jurisdictions, and required documentation; work closely with Finance to ensure required filings, taxes, fees, and related obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Intellectual Property Management
  • Serve as the company's operational point of contact for outside IP counsel and coordinate the information, documentation, approvals, signatures, filings, renewals, assignments, Statements of Use, and provisional patent activity required for patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Maintain portfolio visibility, records, ownership, deadlines, and required actions; escalates time‑sensitive issues
Risk, Insurance & Security Coordination
  • Support the EVP in identifying and monitoring operational risk, coordinating mitigation efforts, and escalating material issues.
  • Own the operational administration of the corporate insurance portfolio, excluding employee benefits insurance and workers' compensation, including broker coordination, renewals, applications, underwriting information, policy records, and certificates of insurance.
  • Help identify potential coverage gaps and assess whether coverage remains appropriate as the business evolves; act as an operational liaison to Information Security and support ISO readiness and maintenance without owning InfoSec work or final certification approval.
Facilities & Physical Operations
  • Own the operational management of company physical locations, including lease administration, critical dates, landlord/property‑manager relationships, vendors, maintenance, utilities, access, and centralized facility records.
  • Lead operational execution for openings, relocations, expansions, consolidations, and closures.
Business Systems & Knowledge Management
  • Own the operational requirements, governance, administration, access, adoption, lifecycle, and effectiveness of business‑critical systems, knowledge‑management platforms, document‑management tools, and workflow solutions.
  • Partner with Procurement on sourcing, vendor purchasing, commercial terms, and renewals; drive system consolidation, documentation standards, automation, adoption, and effective access to company knowledge.
Legal Operations & Workflow Enablement
  • Own and improve the operational workflows supporting repeatable documents such as NDAs, including intake, routing, approvals, execution, tracking, and stakeholder visibility.
  • Partner with Legal to operationalize approved templates and process changes, automate repeatable administrative work, and maintain feedback loops; Legal retains ownership of legal language, interpretation, and substantive legal decisions.
Business Performance, OKRs & Reporting Standards
  • Support the EVP in assessing, reviewing, and implementing OKRs, KPIs, and performance measures that promote business and operational excellence.
  • Partner with functional leaders to establish consistent definitions, ownership, reporting cadences, and data‑quality expectations, and maintain regular operational reporting that surfaces performance, trends, risks, and areas requiring attention.
Cross‑Functional Execution
  • Coordinate complex initiatives across departments, driving accountability, follow‑through, issue resolution, and clear communication while respecting functional ownership.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Project Manager, Strategic Execution to address project management capacity needs, including supporting or, where appropriate, directly project‑managing select initiatives.
  • Prepare work for EVP review and final sign‑off where executive approval is required, providing guidance, identifying gaps, and driving materials and decisions to a final state.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Program Management, or a related cross‑functional operating role; experience in a fast‑paced, scaling organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and improve operational processes, manage multiple workstreams, and coordinate effectively across executive, functional, legal, finance, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment, organization, written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and attention to detail; comfortable operating with ambiguity and escalating appropriately.
  • Experience with business systems, workflow automation, governance, reporting, entity administration, insurance, facilities, or IP operations is advantageous.

  • Cross‑functional initiatives move forward with clear ownership, accountability, reporting, and follow‑through.
  • Operational processes become simpler, more scalable, and easier for the business to use.
