Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a data analytics professional to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting and performance analysis. You will deliver data-driven solutions, work with leadership, IT, and operations to ensure data quality and effective reporting.

The role is hybrid with three days onsite in Irving and two days remote, requiring strong SQL, BI, and programming skills, plus collaboration across corporate functions.

Qualifications

Builders FirstSource is America’s largest supplier of building materials, value‑added components and building services to the professional market. The role is a hybrid position with three days onsite in our Corporate Irving office and two days remote.

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly and quarterly data support to internal stakeholders for public financial reporting and performance purposes.
• Provide business solutions using data‑driven analytics.
• Serve as a resource for corporate leadership, field operations, and various corporate functions in variance analysis, financial planning/modeling, metrics reporting, and business development.
• Act as a liaison between the business and IT regarding data quality, master data management, systems implementation, and process improvement.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of directly related experience in an analytical, decision support, or reporting role using SQL or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio, SQL query language, including stored procedures and table creation and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of MicroStrategy, Power BI, or a similar business intelligence tool.
• Working knowledge of R, Python, SAS, or a similar analytics tool.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate formulas, pivot tables, VBA, and MS Query in Excel.
• Preferred working knowledge of Hyperion Smart View or a similar financial system.
• Home‑building industry experience is a plus.
