The Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Engineering team at Block builds trust, inspires confidence, and increases utility in the data used to drive the Block organization. We do this by developing a world-class team that builds robust data pipelines and governance with a partner-service mindset. Our Engineers own core data strategy and infrastructure, impacting everything from data architecture and modeling to tooling and optimization.
You’ll be part of our Support team, which specializes in key concepts like advocates, customers, messaging, and voice, ensuring adaptability as products evolve. We develop robust data pipelines, drive operational efficiency, enable AI/ML-driven automation, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance customer support through data-driven insights.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

$163,600 — $245,400 USD
Zone B:
$155,400 — $233,200 USD
Zone C:
$147,300 — $220,900 USD
Zone D:
$139,000 — $208,600 USD
