Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Location: Frisco, Texas

Garver's Enterprise Solutions team specializes in delivering interactive data visualization and business analytics solutions across various industries. We focus on providing insights through program reporting, custom software, and GIS mapping applications.

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to lead quality assurance for our data analytics projects. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of analytics solutions while maintaining strong client and team relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analytics, project management, and a passion for high-quality, client-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and evaluate business intelligence reports for quality, accuracy, and design, ensuring standards and client expectations are met.
2. Guide the team on project delivery, including data modeling, visualization, and system architecture best practices.
3. Assist in developing reports and dashboards to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
4. Lead projects from start to finish, including planning, task assignment, and performance tracking.
5. Act as the primary contact for clients, facilitating communication and requirements gathering.
6. Support development of custom Power BI visuals using TypeScript and Power BI Developer Tools to create interactive dashboards.
7. Guide the team in developing advanced analytics solutions like diagnostic and predictive analytics.
8. Collaborate with data engineers to improve data modeling and database management.
9. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in business analytics, quality assurance, or similar roles.
3. Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS, and SQL databases.
4. Strong data modeling and database management skills.
5. Experience with dashboard and report design principles.
6. Proven project management skills with Agile/Scrum experience.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
8. Experience guiding teams, reviewing work for quality, and delivering client analytics solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ERP systems and integrating multiple data sources.
• Familiarity with custom software and web applications.
• Graphic design experience.
• Management experience.
• Knowledge of civil engineering industry.
• Skills in developing Power BI visuals using D3.js, TypeScript, and Power BI Developer Tools.
• Knowledge of SQL, C#, JavaScript, DAX, Power Query, R.
• Experience with descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
