Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst to support value-based program expansion, collaborating with providers on the Service Fund team. The role reports to the Associate Director, Business Intelligence and focuses on developing, implementing, and valuing new programs while maintaining current ones.

Responsibilities include building complex SQL queries, leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics, and delivering monthly reporting to inform program decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of data analysis experience
• 2+ years' advanced experience developing complex SQL queries
• 1+ years' experience in Healthcare related data (Provider, Insurance, etc.)
• Experience with Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups)
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
• Experience with verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Researches and reports monthly activity to explain data reconciliations and implications for programs
• Produces reports and ad hoc requests using Excel and Azure Synapse Analytics

Humana is looking for someone for the Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst to provide support for its expansion of value-based programs, working with providers to achieve success on the Service Fund team. You will report the Associate Director, Business Intelligence. Humana is looking for someone for the Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst to provide support for its expansion of value-based programs, working with providers to achieve success on the Service Fund team. You will support the development, implementation and valuation of new programs, and the maintenance of current programs.

• Utilizes complex SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other technical skills to drive process improvement and assist in managing value-based relationships
• Conducts research and produces reporting of monthly activity, providing an understanding of how the data reconciles and what it means for current and potential programs
• Assists in producing reports and completing ad hoc requests using Excel, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other various analytical tools
• Provides support for payments to value-based specialists
• Aids in the evaluation of new value-based program opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of data analysis experience OR Master's degree and 3+ years of data analysis experience
• 2+ years' advanced experience developing complex SQL queries
• 1+ years' experience in Healthcare related data ie. Provider, Insurance, etc.
• Experience with Excel (ex. Pivot tables, Vlookups, formatting)
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
• Experience with verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Experience in health insurance related data ie. Medicare, Medicaid, Claims, Premium Data, etc.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Databricks
• Experience with Pyspark and/or Python

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$89,000 - $121,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
