Base Salary - $100k - $150k + Commission DOE
Summary
Objectives of the Position
Responsible for gaining new clients and growing existing client business in line with International or Domestic growth strategy and the country sales budget.
Principal Accountabilities
- Win, retain and develop customers through sales "hunting" activity by actively setting appointments for face-to-face sales meetings with customers and following the schedule laid by inside sales.
- Assessing prospective accounts as profitable, significant, or strategic to secure winning bids.
- Build rapport and trust with customers by being informed about their business and market; support customer retention through collaboration with all resources including product teams, other sales channels, and local station management.
- Increase gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new customers.
- Follow-up rigorously on offers and client development.
- Monitor shipment cuts (lost clients) and implement countermeasures.
- Conduct ongoing key customer analysis.
- Execute strategic sales aligned with company growth plans.
- Develop and implement strategies and tactics to meet or exceed targets.
- Recommend solutions based on customer needs using industry knowledge.
Education & Work Experience Requirements/Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years of field sales experience in freight forwarding or two years of operational experience.
- Good working knowledge of freight forwarding services, including international and/or domestic freight (import/export), consolidation.
- Demonstrated competence in conflict management, decision making, and strategic planning.
- Strong hunter mentality, good communication and interpersonal skills, outstanding negotiation skills.
- Ability to think out of the box (Entrepreneurial mindset).
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
- Willingness to travel; fluency in written and spoken English.
- This position is fully remote.
Educational Background / Work Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics/freight forwarding industry.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- High level of customer service.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English and the local country language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Literacy
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to adapt easily to new software.
