Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Senior Business Development Lead to drive growth for Clinical Apheresis Services across the Western and Central U.S. This role requires building strategic partnerships with hospitals, transplant centers, and cancer programs, and managing complex cross-functional cycles from outreach to contract execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
• Minimum five years of business development, healthcare sales, clinical, operational, or hospital experience.
• Experience within hospitals, healthcare systems, transfusion medicine, oncology, hematology, cellular therapy, transplant, or related clinical environments.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.
• Experience engaging executive-level healthcare leaders and influencing cross-functional decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth within Clinical Apheresis Services.
• Identify, qualify, and close opportunities with hospitals, academic medical centers, physician practices, cancer centers, transplant programs, and healthcare systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with physicians, nursing leadership, transplant coordinators, cellular therapy programs, blood bank leadership, laboratory directors, hospital administrators, and supply chain teams.
• Lead complex consultative sales engagements from outreach through contract execution and implementation.
• Collaborate with internal experts across Clinical Apheresis Services, Operations, Medical Affairs, Quality, Laboratory Services, and Process Development to craft solutions.
• Represent ARC at industry conferences, customer meetings, and regional educational events.
