Senior Business Development and Client Strategy Director

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development and Client Strategy Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives and deepen our relationships within select sectors in North America. This pivotal role combines strategic planning, client engagement, and market expansion to drive our business forward. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sector ecosystems and a proven track record of developing high-value client relationships and mobilizing colleagues across our business. Demonstrated success in executing go-to-market strategies that drive transformative sales growth—ranging from $50M to $100M—is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new opportunities within data center, pharma, or energy sectors.
    • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to develop and execute strategic market penetration plans.
    • Lead the creation of proposals, presentations, and client pitches tailored to specific needs.
  • Client Strategy and Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary contact for key clients, ensuring excellent service and alignment with their goals.
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers and industry stakeholders.
    • Develop strategies to maximize client retention, satisfaction, and growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on market dynamics and client needs to internal teams.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Partner with internal teams to align business development efforts with company capabilities.
    • Mentor and guide junior team members to foster collaboration and professional growth.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in business development, client strategy, or sales, preferably within the data center or related technology sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the data center market, including key players, trends, and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies.
  • Experience in building and managing long-term client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Salary Transparency:

This role in Arlington, VA, offers an annual base salary between $169,000 and $221,000, depending on experience, location, and other factors. This range does not include bonuses, overtime, or additional benefits.
