Position Responsibilities

Deltek is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic proposal management professional to join our team in developing a solution designed to assist in drafting and preparing capture plans and proposals for government contracts. This role will be pivotal in driving product development, working closely with engineering teams to bring innovative features to market, and ensuring our solution meets the complex needs of government contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end product management process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, user experience, sales and customer success to define product requirements and prioritize features.
• Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform product strategy and development.
• Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Operate in agile/scrum development processes, working closely with engineering teams to build and deploy web-based software applications.
• Monitor product performance and usage metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in proposal and capture management for a government contractor, specializing in complex services proposals.
• Proven experience in product development and product management principles.
• Strong background in working with engineering teams in an agile/scrum development environment to build and deploy web-based software applications.
• Deep understanding of the business development lifecycle for government contractors, including gate reviews, color teams, and methodologies from firms such as Shipley.
• Familiarity with cloud based application security requirements in the government contracting environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A master's degree in a related field is preferred but can be substituted with additional years of experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with government contracting and compliance requirements.

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $98000.00 - $171500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
