Job summary

Red Clay Consulting seeks a seasoned Business Analyst to understand client goals, document current and future state processes, and drive organizational change on advisory engagements and implementations. You will partner with stakeholders, lead elicitation sessions, and produce clear requirements and roadmaps.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in business analysis or related fields, with strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities, and are willing to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience preferred, with 7+ years in BA, process improvement, solution implementation, and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, work experience, and certifications.
• Experience owning the business-side scope of an engagement end to end.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to business stakeholders, department leaders, and project teams through industry research, data analytics, executive summaries, presentations, and documentation.
• Lead discovery and design workshops with business and IT stakeholders, as part of an implementation or assessment team, to draw out business needs when they are not yet clearly identified.
• Identify and describe changes across stakeholders, interfaces, end users, external customers, training, communications, and reporting.
• Develop comprehensive business roadmaps that align with strategic goals and objectives, ensuring a clear path for transformation and growth.
• Analyze People, Process, and Technology client challenges and discover opportunities to design and implement optimal business processes and solutions based on industry best practices.
• Produce clear documentation, including the requirements, acceptance criteria, and process models that delivery teams build from, and keep decisions, assumptions, and open items visible and up to date for the life of the engagement.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and external partners.
• Collaborate with sales and account teams to support business development efforts, pursue new opportunities, and extend existing engagements.
• Contribute to the creation of business plans, resource plans, and budget plans for various business initiatives.
• Develop and deliver high-quality presentations and deliverables, articulating solution features and benefits that satisfy customer requirements.
• Lead initiatives to analyze and transform legacy business processes and systems into modern solutions that address business, technical, and people needs.
• Gather and share utility industry information with clients and colleagues to address shared challenges, surface better approaches, and improve outcomes.
• Mentor and train team members, support recruitment efforts, and identify new methodologies and tools for business analysis.
