This Senior Lead SAP Product Configurator VC (Variant Configurator) Business System Analyst is responsible for all aspects relating to our SAP VC Product Configurator models and application, including understanding the capabilities and limitations of the native SAP functional solution, providing module configuration, analysis, and support. This position will work closely with business subject matter experts and others within the SAP Center of Excellence to ensure strong alignment between business requirements and the application solutions/services. The candidate is responsible for developing and delivering effective VC-specific solutions leveraging SAP and industry best practices. Knowledge of SAP IM&C Best Business Practice is a plus.

Key Accountabilities

1. Design product model architecture for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
2. Collaborate with offshore VC product modeling teams for alignment.
3. Facilitate business process and master data alignment with SAP best practices for VC.
4. Gather, validate, and document VC product model specifications through interviews and workshops, translating requirements into SAP models.
5. Conduct thorough testing: unit, regression, integration, and user acceptance.
6. Assist team members and users with problem-solving related to the software application, performance, and usage.
7. Provide functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports supporting VC requirements.
8. Ensure alignment between business needs and application solutions/services.
9. Work effectively with super-users and end-users to develop a strong SAP user community.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's and/or Master's degree or equivalent experience.
2. 8+ years of hands-on VC model building experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
3. Experience with 2+ full lifecycle SAP R/3 implementations.
4. Advanced SAP ECC 6.0 VC knowledge and experience.
5. Deep understanding of variant configuration models, including classes, characteristics, BOM, dependencies, and related components.
6. Experience with Order BOM and Engineering Change Management is advantageous.
7. Functional and technical expertise in SAP VC and related modules (SD, MM, PP, FI/CO) and their integration points.
8. Proven ability to influence business teams and understand requirements.
9. Experience in developing systems requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, training, and supporting business solutions under deadlines.
10. Strong collaboration skills with business users and a desire to excel.
11. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to provide configuration and analysis support for SAP VC, understanding its capabilities and limitations.
13. Experience designing solutions for integration with non-SAP applications like CPQ tools, websites, and downstream systems.
