Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a seasoned Requirements Analyst for a remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The position requires 10+ years of professional experience, a Public Trust clearance, and strong SAFe/Agile background. Candidates with VA/healthcare domain exposure are preferred.

This is a 100% remote U.S. position, with some client security requirements. The role involves leading requirements capture, documenting in ALM tools like JIRA, and guiding agile backlogs

Qualifications

• Must have strong software development background and SAFe/Agile experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication to explain complex topics.
• Attention to detail, customer service mindset and problem-solving.
• Experience conducting independent research to resolve complex questions.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical skills integrating information from multiple sources.
• Experience with Jira and ALM tools in large projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture of business requirements for software teams.
• Collaborate with users, IT and leadership to document requirements in an ALM tool.
• Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management.
• Analyze user needs to determine functional, cross-functional and technical requirements.
• Conduct user interviews and develop business process models and specifications.
• Gather and document requirements from customers and stakeholders.
• Write and deliver project documents to the client.
• Identify and manage risks and issues impacting project progress.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog and acceptance criteria.
