Johnson Controls is hiring! We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Business Analyst who enjoys building structure from complexity. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with large datasets, developing Power BI dashboards, creating executive scorecards, and improving business processes through automation. You will possess the business acumen to understand what matters most to leadership and the technical skills to transform disparate data sources into meaningful insights that drive better decision-making across the organization, and you should also be highly analytical and a self-starter who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with large datasets, and translating data into concise, executive-level insights. The Senior Business Analyst, Fire Suppression PMO, is responsible for managing, analyzing, and transforming business and portfolio data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization. This role serves as the primary owner of PMO scorecards, performance metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting processes. Working closely with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and functional leaders, the Business Analyst will consolidate data from multiple systems and sources to develop accurate, timely, and meaningful performance reporting. The successful candidate will leverage advanced Excel, Power BI, and analytical skills to streamline reporting processes, improve data visibility, and create scalable business intelligence solutions. This is a hybrid position that requires you to be onsite 3 days per week. Candidates must be commuting distance to Cranston, RI, or able to relocate. Various relocation packages are available. Candidates must be US citizens and/or permanent residents, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
Own the monthly PMO scorecard process, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of key performance metrics. Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple business systems and reporting sources. Develop, maintain, and enhance executive scorecards, dashboards, and business performance reports. Perform trend analysis and identify business insights, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement areas. Create clear and compelling visualizations that effectively communicate business performance to leadership. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all PMO and organizational reporting. Produce recurring and ad-hoc management reports supporting strategic decision-making. Present findings and recommendations to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. Utilize advanced Excel tools including Pivot Tables, Power Query, data models, and complex formulas to support reporting and analysis. Consolidate information from multiple sources including Excel workbooks, Access databases, Planview, ERP systems, Power BI reports, and other business applications. Identify opportunities to automate data collection, aggregation, and reporting processes. Support development of standardized data structures and reporting methodologies. Serve as a subject matter expert for PMO reporting, business metrics, and data visualization.
Evaluate existing reporting tools and processes and recommend improvements. Lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, and automate reporting activities. Partner with stakeholders to improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting efficiency. Develop scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve organizational visibility. Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance measurement.
Work closely with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and leadership teams to understand reporting requirements and business needs. Facilitate alignment around key performance indicators, business metrics, and reporting standards. Support leadership reviews through preparation of data-driven presentations and performance summaries.
$120,000 - 150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
