Job summary

TechSurSolutions in the DC metropolitan area seeks a seasoned Business Analyst / Product Owner to elicit client needs, write user stories, and manage a product backlog for a government-oriented digital transformation project.

You will collaborate with developers and testers, translate business and technical requirements into acceptance criteria, and produce process docs to align delivery with client goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Agile teams writing user stories and backlog planning.
• Reviews and analyzes IT systems and user needs.
• Translates requirements into detailed acceptance criteria.
• Experience with full SDLC of Agile IT projects.
• Hands-on with JIRA and MS Office tools.
• Experience with web-based applications and modern web tech.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and understand client needs, write user stories, manage backlog and develop prototypes.
• Study existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Design proposed solutions and options to address business needs.
• Collaborate with developers and testers to clarify requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for customer communications during requirements gathering.
• Reconcile differences with the system proposal to minimize scope creep.
• Prepare project documentation like meeting minutes and process diagrams.
• Other duties as needed.
• Provide artifacts such as requirements docs, user stories, and UAT scenarios.
