Job summary

Trean Corporation is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst III focused on accounting operations to translate evolving business needs into actionable solutions. This role bridges strategy and hands-on delivery, with deep understanding of ERP and EPM systems and end-to-end accounting workflows.

Responsibilities include documenting requirements, driving process improvements, and supporting system implementations while collaborating with executives and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems.
• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting financial projects.
• 5+ years accounting experience within the insurance industry.
• Hands-on experience implementing and/or working with ERP and EPM systems.
• Experience gathering requirements and IT project execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with senior stakeholders.
• CBAP or similar certification preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Visio for process mapping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain end-to-end accounting workflows, identifying automation opportunities.
• Develop business cases and project charters with stakeholders.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across teams.
• Maintain traceability across design, testing, training, and implementation.
• Analyze current-state and design future-state accounting workflows.
• Provide guidance on ERP and EPM best practices.
• Lead change management and engage executive stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines.
• Support SaaS project implementations.
