Job summary

Jimerson Birr seeks a Business Advisory & Transactional Team Leader to act as a player-coach, balancing a personal docket with leadership of a small, high-performing team. You will mentor, enforce standards, and drive predictable execution while remaining active in negotiations and strategic decisions.

You will structure governance, negotiate deals, supervise capital raises, and manage risk and lifecycle events, with a focus on client satisfaction and results.

Qualifications

• JD and active Florida Bar membership required.
• 7–10+ years of transactional experience with clear leadership signals.
• First-chair experience on significant M&A or strategic transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Structure and govern the business: entity formation, governance documents, ownership and capital structuring, compensation, board architecture, authority matters.
• Run the deals: negotiate JV agreements, MSAs, SaaS terms, support capital raises, and M&A activity.
• Manage risk and lifecycle events: risk management, contracts, data privacy, crisis actions, asset protection.
• Leadership and delivery: lead weekly team meetings, ensure throughput and SLA targets, coach staff, manage client satisfaction and portfolio outcomes.
