Job summary

Consarc Corporation in New Jersey is seeking a skilled Bus Department Manufacturer responsible for fabrication, assembly, and testing of bus components, with strong soldering and brazing skills.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating forklifts and cranes, and adhering to precise tolerances while following water system schematics.

Candidates should have 5+ years experience and be able to work independently or as part of a team; pre-employment physical and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of soldering, brazing, and pipe/tubing fabrication experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and technical comprehension.
• Experience with industrial tools and lifting machinery.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Familiar with pressure and vacuum testing procedures.
• Understanding of water system schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform silver soldering (brazing) on Type K tubing and up to Schedule 160 Pipe.
• Execute soft soldering using leaded and lead-free solder.
• Conduct pressure and vacuum testing on bus components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and symbols.
• Cut materials using saws and miter equipment.
• Operate forklifts and overhead/jib cranes safely and efficiently.
• Utilize torches and gases such as oxygen, liquid oxygen, propane, and acetylene.
• Maintain tolerances and measurements per blueprint requirements.
• Interpret and work from water schematics.
