Job summary

AJ Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Bulldozer Operator for our gravel pit in the Brookhaven area.

This is a full-time, hourly position for an operator with at least five years of heavy-equipment experience, preferably in a gravel pit, quarry, mining, aggregate, or earthmoving operation. The successful candidate will safely operate heavy equipment, maintain stockpiles, and assist with pit development while adhering to MSHA guidelines and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of bulldozer or comparable heavy-equipment operating experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• MSHA certification and gravel-pit/quarry/mining experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bulldozer to push, spread, level, and grade materials.
• Maintain stockpiles, working faces, ramps, haul roads, access roads, pads, slopes, and drainage areas.
• Strip and stockpile topsoil and overburden during pit development.
• Build and maintain safety berms, windrows, and road shoulders.
• Perform rough and finish grading with proper elevations and drainage.
• Follow safety policies and communicate with others via radio or hand signals.
