Job summary

Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) invites applications for a Logistics Management Specialist serving as a DLA Energy LNO/Contingency Planner between DLA Energy and USCENTCOM. This role focuses on theater-wide bulk petroleum logistics planning and coordination.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience related to logistics planning and wartime contingencies.
• Evaluates operations plans and assesses supporting tasks and missions.
• Advises senior officials on USCENTCOM support issues affecting DLA Energy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a DLA Energy Liaison Officer (LNO)/Contingency Planner between the Commander, DLA Energy and the Commander, USCENTCOM, Logistics Directorate.
• Provide expert guidance to design, develop, execute, and promulgate contingency plans for theater-wide bulk petroleum support to agencies and services.
• Develop and publish annually a Bulk Petroleum Logistics Support Plan identifying infrastructure and capabilities for each country within the USCENTCOM AOR.
• Serve as the principal planning advisor and consultant to USCENTCOM regarding bulk petroleum logistics planning for war planning and contingency execution.
• Resolve operations plan shortfalls, limitations and other conditions that impact wartime bulk petroleum logistics support.
• Analyze exercises/contingencies to improve DLA Energy doctrine, directives, and the Bulk Petroleum Support Plan.
