Job summary

RTM Engineering Consultants, LLC is seeking a senior professional to reinforce and advance its building technology systems expertise. The role is predominantly client‑ and project‑facing, delivering design direction, stakeholder consultation, and hands‑on project execution in Lakewood/Ft.

Collins areas. The candidate brings 10+ years of experience, professional certifications (RCDD/CTS), and a track record of mentoring multi‑discipline teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience designing building technology systems across diverse clients.
• College Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• Professional Certifications – RCDD and CTS required; PE or other BICSI/AVIXA/ASIS recommended.
• Expert knowledge of structured cabling, wireless, audiovisual, and electronic security systems.
• Expertise in construction means and methods for multi‑discipline design teams.
• Experience mentoring other technology designers and leading workflows.
• Experience in cross‑disciplinary, in‑house teams and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured cabling, wireless, audiovisual, and electronic security systems consulting to project stakeholders.
• Develop design standards and present to stakeholders.
• Design complete systems for cabling, wireless, audiovisual, and security.
• Coordinate with in‑house and external engineers across disciplines.
• Support design through construction contract administration.
• Lead and mentor junior technology designers.
• Drive design process improvements and production assets.
• Engage in technology‑only project management and BD activities.
• Act as SME with professional societies and other initiatives.
