Job summary

Colliers International is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer in Austin, TX to ensure maintenance systems run efficiently for client safety and property integrity. You will respond to client requests, prioritize and assign work orders to Building Engineers, and drive preventative maintenance programs.

With 7+ years in building maintenance or engineering, you will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing and energy management systems, developing strong relationships with property managers and suppliers

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in building/property maintenance or engineering.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems and other building mechanical equipment.
• CFC Universal certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel)
• Flexibility to be on-call to respond to after-hours / weekend emergency requests.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client requests and prioritize work orders for Building Engineers.
• Assign work orders and follow up to ensure minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and inspections.
• Maintain relationships with property managers, suppliers and department leaders.
• Manage inventories, records and schedules with keen attention to detail.
