Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed journeyman electrician and licensed journeyman plumber preferred.
• Certified for backflow testing; fire sprinkler certification; EPA certification (refrigerant handling).
• HVAC equipment repairs.
• Holds or can obtain a contractor's license; Building Operators Certificate (obtain when available).
• Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in building operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Engineer III is responsible for advanced repair, maintenance, and safe operation of building systems including structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration across district facilities.
• Leads complex troubleshooting, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, supports energy management systems, and ensures compliance with applicable codes, licenses, and safety standards.
• Delivers responsive, high-quality customer service to schools and departments.
