Job summary

ABM is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems within a property. The role focuses on maximizing system life and reliability, with duties spanning HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering/operations experience in commercial office buildings.
• Licenses for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC; refrigerant recovery certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems to ensure reliability.
• Respond to client requests, manage work orders, and source parts as needed.
• Maintain compliance with budget, safety policies, OSHA standards, and governing codes.
• Supervise maintenance staff, coach and train team members, and coordinate with management.
