Job summary

SGM seeks a full-time Building Structural Engineer for Western Colorado or remote work. The role focuses on client relations, design of commercial/residential structures, and leading projects with construction document packages.

Requirements include a BS in Structural Engineering, Colorado PE or transfer within 6 months, 5–10 years of experience, and proficiency in REVIT/AutoCAD, with strong communication and budgeting skills. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Structural Engineering, or Architectural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering with a Structural focus.
• Colorado PE license or ability to transfer within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural design and construction of buildings.
• Knowledge of building codes and material-specific structural codes.
• Ability to use software to complete structural analysis and validate results with simplified methods.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Residential and commercial structures design experience.
• Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD and generating Structural Contract Documents.
• Ability to self-manage design tasks and stay within scope, schedule, and budget.
