Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking an experienced Building Performance Lead to guide projects from concept through construction in San Francisco, CA. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating cross-discipline teams to deliver high-performance design solutions.

Required are a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, professional registration preferred, and 5–10 years in building performance. Strong leadership, communication, and client relation skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related field.
Professional registration (PE, RA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience with high-performance and sustainable building design.
5–10 years leading building performance projects.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build client relationships.
Strong technical and project leadership skills.
Excellent client communication.
Broad building performance knowledge: energy, enclosure, daylighting, thermal comfort, carbon, water, resilience.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary building performance projects from concept through construction.
Serve as primary technical contact for clients and develop long-term client relationships.
Lead project planning, staffing, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
Coordinate technical assignments across the project team.
Mentor junior staff and improve technical excellence.
Support business development and proposals.
